LYRA GARCELLANO is a visual artist whose output is presented as paintings, installations, moving images, comics, and writing, with particular interest in how prevailing models in the artworld impact artistic practice. She is an interdisciplinary studies graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University, and also holds a bachelor’s degree in studio arts and a master’s degree in art theory and criticism from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She is a recipient of the 13 Artists Award from the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Her first book, “Elsewhere: Writings on Art,” was published by Grana Books in 2024.
